1 in 3 people in the UK report that they suffer from chronic pain. Stress and Mental illness is the second most common reason employees are absent from work. Musculoskeletal problems are the 3rd most common reason. I am on a personal mission to make a dent in this number.
Having spent years in the corporate world and then in the tech start-up world, I know first-hand the impact a stressful job can have on both mental and physical wellbeing. As a neurodivergent woman I am also very aware of the changes needed to ensure employees of all neurotypes thrive. I have created a training programme that tackles both mental and physical reasons for absenteeism. By understanding that wellness is a skill that can be mastered and by developing skills to prevent pain and develop vitality - you can have a team that is resourced, resilient and empowered.
